Escape Room

August 15: Today was super busy. Always good to be teaching a lot.

August 16: We helped someone move today! That was fun.

August 17: Today was another pretty normal day. We got to go to this BBQ place called the Doghouse (for Fresno State Bulldogs) that everyone talks about. Pretty good!

August 18: Taught more people today. Yup, still a missionary. Crazy huh?

August 19: We were with our Zone Leader, Elder Muir for a few hours. It was super fun!

August 20: Today we went to a Hmong funeral. It was pretty fun. It was a Hmong Christian funeral and not a traditional funeral so it was a lot different than the other funerals I have been to. Still pretty sweet though. We also were able to have a bunch of people we are teaching at church again. Super fun!

Today: We did another Escape room! This time we did two different groups. The other group was trying to steal a diamond. They didn't make it out in time. We did though! We had to disarm a bomb! We did it with 12 minutes to spare like pros!

Baptism

August 8: Today we had dinner at a member's house and their son had gotten home from a mission an hour earlier! He hadn't been released yet so it was super cool to talk to him and all of his family who were visiting!

August 9: Today we had Zone Conference! Our Mission President was teaching us about relationships. How to build them and what different types there are. It was really good! Also, there was a blood moon tonight! That was pretty cool.

August 10: Today was a pretty normal missionary day.

August 11: Today we went on exchanges! It was super fun!

August 12: Jolie Heu got baptized today! She had to show a TON of faith to get baptized. Her family did not support it and was super mad when she got baptized but she knows the Book of Mormon is true and was super happy when she got baptized!

August 11: Today we had 6 investigators at church! That is the most I have had so far in my mission! It was crazy awesome!! We rode on the bus with 2 of them to church. It was super fun!

Hmong Gathering

August 1: Today we had exchanges! It was super fun! It is always super fun to go into English areas! Especially when the neighbor of the people you are talking to threatened the Elders with a shotgun last time! hahaha

August 2: Today we made cookies! We then brought them to one of our investigators who recently got married! She is going to be baptized soon, hopefully!

August 3: Had lunch with a super cool Samoan member today. His wife is Hmong so he is still in our ward. He is so cool!

August 4: We were driving to an investigators house and saw a bunch of cops so we figured we would go street contacting. Turns out there had been a drive by shooting within the last hour or so! Sweet! Also gave a referral to the English Elders of someone who said they wanted to get baptized. Pretty cool. Also got to see a real CSI truck for the first time! (It came to check out the shooting) Pretty cool!

August 5: Today was HMONG GATHERING!! There were some SWEET Hmong dances. The longest one was about a half-hour and depicted the Hmong people in Laos and their life before the war. It then went into the war and their exile to America. They then met some Mormon Elders, joined the church, and went to the Temple! Super cool!

August 6: Today we met a bunch of people at church from other parts of California who came down for the Hmong Gathering! Super cool. Also had 5 investigators at church so it was pretty cool to see all of them! The Lord is definitely pushing his work forward in the CFM! It is awesome to see it happen!
